(www.metastorm.com) announced that they are continuing their partnership for yet another year to promote using business process management (BPM) technology. BPM helps businesses and government to rapidly automate their work processes to increase value to customers while decreasing lost information and mistakes. November, 2006—The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) announced that Mr. Robert Moore, an employee of Business Transformation Institute, Inc. (www.biztransform.net) has been certified as a CMMI High-Maturity Lead Appraiser. Mr. Moore is one of the first people certified by the SEI.
The Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) is the most prominent standard for judging the effectiveness of systems and software engineering processes. The CMMI was originally sponsored by the US Department of Defense to improve engineering practices and has subsequently been widely adopted by US and international businesses.
The CMMI rates an engineering organization’s process “Maturity Level” on a scale of 1to 5. Most organizations achieve ratings of Maturity Level 2 or 3 with only the most capable organizations achieving ratings of 4 or 5. In August 2006, the SEI began requiring that organizations aspiring to be rated at Maturity Level 4 or 5 must be appraised by an SEI-certified High-Maturity Lead Appraiser.

Business Transformation Institute will be able to officially teach the SEI's Introduction to Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) class and lead appraisals using the CMMI.

Notable CMMI users include the largest US defense and civilian contractors, as well as many private sector technology companies. The US government requires compliance with the CMMI on all significant Department of Defense contracts.
